Come plant trees on the Lidback's Farm in Westmore on Sunday, May 7, 11am-2pm. Join us and learn about the impact the Trees for Streams program is having on Orleans County farms. The primary goal of Trees for Streams is to improve and protect water quality by establishing woody vegetation. Creating vegetated riparian zones helps minimize bank erosion, holding soil in place. It also helps trap, store and filter nutrients from runoff during high flow events. Email us if you are interested in volunteering: sarah.damsell@VT.nacdnet.net
