With the arrival of spring, Green Up Day is just around the corner - May 6 to be precise. The Middlebury Area Land Trust (MALT) is coordinating again this year, in collaboration with schools, public institutions, and non-profit partners.
What is Green Up day:
Green Up Day is a community clean up day that happens annually throughout Vermont. Help clean up the Middlebury roads and waterways with your neighbors, friends, and families!
Where/when:
To participate in Green Up day, you must use Green Up Day specific bags. We provide bags and gloves on a first-come, first-serve basis. Use your own work gloves if you have them– we have a limited supply and want to reduce waste.
To pick up supplies:
Early pickup: April 21-May 5
Bags will be available at the Town Offices (1st floor) and Public Works on Route 7
Early pickup: May 5
3:00pm-6:30pm at the MALT office in the Marbleworks complex. if you have a large party, pick up supplies at the MALT office
8:00am-5:00pm at Town offices on the first floor
Day of: May 6
Pick up and drop off locations:
Academy Street across from Twilight Hall
Public Works on Route 7
Times:
Pickup is from 9:00am-1:00pm
Drop off is from 10:00am-3:00pm
