Connect the real world to the computer with a MaKey MaKey Board at the mini Maker Space in the Grand Isle School Library on Monday July 28 at 3:30-6pm.

MaKey MaKey Board is an electronic device that converts many regular objects into keys on your computer to control programs like Scratch. Objects that are conductive, even slightly, like fruit or people, can be used with the MaKey. Using a simple visual programming language like Scratch, you can create projects with real world interactivity!

Use bananas connected to the MaKey MaKey board to walk the Scratch cat through the maze, play the piano, or activate the sample program by holding the magic wand in one hand and touching the bananas with the other. Try changing the sample program to find out what else you can do!

Create a program in Scratch that establishes meaningful interaction between the real world and the computer using the MaKey MaKey board. You can use your own pics, videos and sounds, and real world objects, or people to make it more interesting!

All ages are welcome to join us!
