New Moon Bonfire and Summer Stargazing

In Jewish tradition, the new moon signifies the celebratory beginning of a new month.. Traditionally, determined by observation, stargazers would watch the sky for any sign of the moon announcing the fragile crescent with rejoicing sounds and music The new moon of Av and the constellation of Leo comes with the final heat of summer, full of passion and inspiration. Call in the final energy of summer with a new moon bonfire on the Willowell property in Monkton. Bring your telescope, ,your fire snacks and all your nostalgia and love for campfire community for this gathering celebrating the energy of fire, its passion, creative energy and the potential of all that can be recreated and grown from the ashes. Instruments and stories encouraged!

Saturday, July 26th Willowell Property, Monkton, VT
7 pm Potluck gathering of salad, drink and firefood. ( please bring your own utensils, water and a flashlight!!)

8 :20 pm Bonfire is lit and we begin to search for the new moon

Location Directions at http://www.willowell.org/the-land/visiting/ : please look for signs defining parking spaces and follow signs and Tiki torches for Walden into the woods. It is a five minute walk to the bonfire location.
