Hi, Hancock neighbors,
Green-up Day is nearing on May 6, and the situation on our roadsides is pretty dire this year! The Youngest Gillette will be coordinating Hancock's Green-up efforts this year, with an assist from the legal drivers and taxpayers in her household. PLEASE DO NOT LET HER DOWN.
Bags and gloves (and goodies for kids) will be available at the town hall between 8:30 and 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 6 on a self-serve basis. If you'd like to grab supplies early and get to work, let us know.
We're grateful to North Star Rubbish Removal and ABLE Waste Management for Green-up removal. As in previous years, a dumpster will be installed behind the Hancock town offices the weekend for May 6 and will accept Green-up bags.
ALSO? Hubbard's Country Store has promised a special treat for Hancock Green-up participants! Simply show up after you're finished on the 6th and let them know which stretch of road you worked. Thanks, Hubbard's!
