Morristown Green Up Day 2023
It's that time of year again and Green Up Day is Saturday May 6.
The Morristown Conservation Commission is getting ready for this very important event. We will follow the same procedures as in the past, except the green bag pickup and signup sheets, and road map will be located in the hallway near the town clerk's office (not in the office). The Town office building is open Monday -Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:00PM, Friday 8:00am – 1:00 Pm. If those hours don't work call Brent at 802-793-4950 to get bags or if you have questions.
Sign up will be on your own, follow written instruction posted by the road map. Basically pick out the section of road you wish to clean, mark it on the map with highlighter, and sign the road assignment sheet. Take as many green bags as you think you will need.
The large dumpster and Green Up Day Headquarters will be in the Ox Bow Park just past the lumber yard, open from 7:00AM until 3:00PM on May 6th. You can pick up additional green bags and road assignments at our tent and also dump green trash bags and drop off unwanted tires ($5.00 per regular tire Morristown residents only).
This is the 53rd year we have greened up our town. Let's clean all 100plus miles of roads as we have in the past.
