What is Biomimicry?

Biomimicry is a term to describe what humans have been doing for thousands of years which is to make observations of natural systems, forms, and organisms for innovations. Examples include bullet trains improvements based on the beak of a kingfisher, and Velcro based off of burdock burrs.
