Re: Green Up Day, Saturday, May 6, 2023

To the residents of the Town of Poultney:

Green Up Day is happening statewide on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Citizens of Poultney are encouraged to participate in green-up activities along roadways, stream banks, and ditches, provided it can be done in a safe manner. Green Up bags may be picked up at the Poultney Town Office, 9 Main Street, Poultney, VT, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM.

In the past Poultney has accepted, at no cost, tires, mattresses, furniture, Freon containing items, and general household items during a "free day" at the Poultney Transfer Station. In 2023, the Town of Poultney will be charging for such materials and demolition debris. As always, there are no costs for disposing of metal or recyclable items.

Green Up bags may be brought to the Poultney Transfer Station or left along the roadside for pickup by the Town. For more information (check out the Green Up App!) visit: https://greenupvermont.org/
