Annual sugar-on-snow event, sponsored by the Calais and East Montpelier Historical Societies. Monday, April 17, 6-8 PM, in East Calais Village, at the Recreation Building (same location as the Post Office). A potluck supper at 6 PM (bring a dish to share and your own place setting) will be followed by servings of sugar-on-snow, and sugaring stories, led by Paul Cate and others (bring your own story). The public is welcome to attend the potluck at 6, or arrive at 6:45, when the hot syrup will be rolled out and stories will commence. Dessert by donation.
