Sarah Martin is a Senior at Sterling College. For her senior year research project, she is designing three sequential place-based hands-on lessons about the winter ecology of the Northeast Kingdom. The third one, After the Snow, will be occurring Thursday, April 13. We will meet in front of the Sterling College main building at 2:45 PM. This lesson is about mud season and how wildlife returns/becomes more active again in the springtime. We may be spending some time in the Cedar Swamp on campus so muck boots/ rain boots would be recommended! This is open to anyone in the community of any age (children are encouraged!). Some things to know: this will be taking place outside so please come dressed appropriately. Also, this will be Sarah's first real go at teaching her own curriculum, so please be patient and bring an open mind! All supplies will be available and this event is free! Email Sarah Martin with any questions (smartin@sterlingcollege.edu) we look forward to seeing you there!:)
