Hello Neighbors!
For almost twenty years Neighbors in Action has served the food insecure, elderly, and individuals with disabilities residing in Cabot and surrounding towns in Washington County and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Since 2009, we have rented the Masonic Hall from the Town of Cabot. This year we are looking to make the Masonic Hall at 3339 Main Street in Cabot our permanent home from which all our programs and services can be coordinated and administered.
Buying our building helps us spend more resources on:
-Food shares which serve over 650 individuals every two weeks
-Senior programs for the elderly to engage in our community
-Cabot's online farmer's market: the Cabot Harvest Hub
-Programs for all ages to teach self-sufficiency and food resiliency
-Community partner collaborations that focus on well-being such as yoga classes and foot clinics
We really need your support to reach our goal of raising $150,000 by the end of the year! To help bring out the FUN in FUNdraising, NIA will be holding Thursday night BINGO games in May! Doors open at 5:30pm and the games will run from 6pm-8pm. $1 per card and we'll even share the love by awarding a $5 prize per winning card!
We hope you'll join us for Bingo, and we also hope you will consider making a donation today at www.NeighborsinActionVT.org or by mailing a check to: Neighbors in Action, P.O. Box 157, Cabot, VT 05647 so we can make 3339 Main Street in Cabot our permanent home!
