Manchester Community Library Gallery presents an exhibit by Mary Natalizia with a free opening reception this Friday! Join us!
Artist Statement:
I have two principal lines of investigation. One is still life and landscape painted from direct observation of nature. The other combines observation from nature (especially flora) with memories, dreams and text from poetry, original writing and religious philosophy. The work in several different media is essential to my understanding of and response to the physical and spiritual world.
Mary lives and works in the Berkshires. She received a BFA in painting from U Mass Dartmouth and an MAT from the Rhode Island School of Design. Nataliza has been awarded the following: Purchase Prize, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation Fellowship, Council for Basic Education, National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT.
