VNRC is proud to present "Fantastic Floodplains", a collection of watercolor and acrylic paintings by Gretchen Alexander of Jericho. Alexander's exhibit highlights the importance and beauty of Vermont's floodplains. These sensitive but vital ecosystems are not only biologically diverse habitats, but play important roles in protecting our water quality and reducing flooding. Bridging art and science, the show is informed and inspired by Alexander's long career as a river ecologist.
VNRC will host an opening reception today, Friday, April 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm to coincide with Montpelier Art Walk. Light refreshments will be available as supplies last. If you can't make it out this evening, "Fantastic Floodplains" will remain on display through June 2023. Find out more at our website, https://vnrc.org/.
