Jason Bergman, local musician and conductor of Community Orchestra will present a program on "EPIC Music: El Sistema in Vermont" on Thursday, April 6, 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Catamount Arts. Come learn what El Sestema is and the opportunity it gives St Johnsbury school children. This is a program of Catamount Arts to encourage young people to learn to play string instruments - changing their lives through music. Jason gives lessons and conducts the string ensemble.

The following Thursday, April 13, same time and place, living history performer Tracy Messer will bring Calvin Coolidge to OLLI. The presentation will include a 45-minute film produced by Mr Messer providing the back story about the devastating floods of 1927 that led up to President Calvin Coolidge's heartfelt speech, "Vermont is a state I love". This will be followed by the opportunity for questions and conversation with the speaker as Calvin Coolidge. A quote from this speech is displayed on the front wall of Fuller Hall at St Johnsbury Academy where Calvin was a student for a year.
