Dear Neighbors,
The Hardwick Kiwanis Club would like to offer fireworks again this year at the annual Springfest celebration. But the cost of fireworks has tripled - it's now $6,000. We are seeking a sponsor who is able to cover this cost. If we can't find anyone, we might not be able to put on the show this year.
Meanwhile, there are lots of other exciting plans in the works! Do you have your parade entry ready? This could be a float or bicycle, horse, pet, favorite sports team (Hazen of course!) dribbling basketballs. Anyone who wants to join the parade can do so - there is no cost. Just be ready to line up at Hazen Union in the parking lot at 9:30. The parade starts at 10:30, but there's lots to organize that morning.
A new Corn Hole tournament is making its debut, run by the Caledonia County Cornhole folks! Modern Times Theater is coming back to Atkins Field with carnival games. The Human truck pull, duck drop, local crafters, and pie eating contest return as well. Informational vendors will be on hand along with food vendors.
Make your plans - we'll see you that day. This year's Hardwick Kiwanis Annual Spring Festival and Parade will be on May 27.
