Join us for the 3rd Annual Mad River Story Slam at the Valley Players Theater, 4254 Main Street (Rt. 100), Waitsfield. The show starts at 7:30pm and will be hosted by Valley Players board members Doug Bergstein and Susan Loynd.

This year's theme is "Dys'fun'ctional Families". From funny stories about holiday gatherings to dealing with the 'morning chaos', these stories from your community will bring laughter, understanding, and maybe a tear or two... all to remind us that we are really one big human family. Storytellers scheduled to appear are Larry Guild of Warren, Charlotte Robinson of Warren, Barb Garvin of Waitsfield, Shevonne Travers of Waitsfield, Susan Loynd of Fayston, Erika Nichols-Frazer of Waitsfield, Dennis McSorely of Burlington, Bill Nowlan of Moretown, and Sue Richardson of Beverly, MA.

Storytellers participated in two workshops in March to learn tips from Suzanne Schmidt, host of Burlington's MOTH, and experienced storyteller, Susan Loynd. In these workshops, storytellers learned about the storytelling process and got feedback to refine their story for the Slam.
