My family benefitted from the good fortune of having access to high quality child care here in the South End. I recognize that this is not always the case for our neighbors, especially for the majority of Vermonters with children under age six who cannot find or afford early childhood education.
The good news is Legislators in Montpelier are working hard this session to finalize a Bill that will make child care AFFORDABLE and READILY AVAILABLE for all Vermont families, and that will fairly COMPENSATE early childhood educators doing this essential work.
To cheer legislators on and push this critical Bill over the finish line, I will be joining the Rally for Child Care on April 12th at 1PM in Montpelier on the State House lawn and I invite you to join me.
