Poor People's Campaign Rally and Community Luncheon

Past event
Apr 4, 2023, 12 to 2 PM

In 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. founded the Poor People's Campaign with the intent of addressing/ending poverty, the war economy and militarism and injustice. Fifty years later in 2018 a national movement began to continue the original Poor People's Campaign and to include addressing ecological destruction.

On Tuesday April 4th at noon-1p.m. there will be a rally on the state house lawn followed by a community luncheon from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church. All concerned individuals are encouraged to attend along with members of the Vermont House and Senate.
