In 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. founded the Poor People's Campaign with the intent of addressing/ending poverty, the war economy and militarism and injustice. Fifty years later in 2018 a national movement began to continue the original Poor People's Campaign and to include addressing ecological destruction.
