I will be hosting the first "Appy Hour" at the Library this Thursday, March 30th at 5:30. This "Appy Hour" doesn't involve cocktails or fancy appetizers -- it's a social gathering for us to exchange tips about the best phone apps to make our smartphones work for our individual needs. I've been a slow adopter of my smartphone, but have found apps very useful for work and family life. I use apps to interact with friends, for banking, to scan and send documents, identify plants and birdsongs, read e-books and more. There are, of course, too many choices out there when we check to see if "there's an app for that," so this is a time to connect and share ideas of which smartphone apps are really smart to use! Please join us this Thursday, and if you can't make it but would be interested in this program another time, let me know.
