Hi! My name is Miriam and I am a member of the Vermont Youth Lobby, a grassroots organization of high school students.

We are currently planning the annual Rally for the Planet, which students from all across Vermont are invited to attend. The event will consist of a march from Montpelier High School to the State House (about a 10 minute walk) with the majority of the event taking place on the State House lawn. The pre-rally at Montpelier High School will begin at 8:30 and we will march to the State House at 10:00, where students will have the opportunity to meet with legislators, learn more about climate change through speakers and student-facilitated discussions, and make their voices heard to demand immediate, impactful action on climate change.
