COME CELEBRATE SPRING AND THE CLOSING EVENT FOR THE WITNER NEK TIPSY TALKS SERIES.
Join us tomorrow night at NEK Tipsy Talks @ Parker Pie to finish off the sixth event in our winter series.
We'll be hearing from Ted Sedell as he shares his Tales of a Reluctant Fish Biologist - a story about riding on the shoulders of giants and chose your own adventure story time. This Tipsy Talk (fueled by root beer) covers the legacy of his father and his (mis)adventures and epiphanies throughout his life and career. What if Charles Bukowski and Rachel Carson had an illegitimate son? The audience get to choose the stories along the way. Ted is a charismatic salmon afficionado and will entertain with hilarious and sincere perspectives on life.
We'll also be hearing from Tanya Sousa, a renowned local author of books, short stories, essays and articles that promote empathy for all living things. Tanya will be talking about Writing Your Life (sometimes for pay!). Do you think there's nothing in your life worthy of writing about? Tanya will discuss how so many moments that seem "everyday" are amazing, how to spin them into brief stories/essays, and where you might send your results for publication (sometimes even with pay).
Join us for a brew, pie, and a smashing good time tomorrow night at 7PM. Get your keisters there early for a good seat.
