Brush up your Civics! Redux
In the introductory session on February 26, Frank Davis reviewed how the framers of the constitution strived to unite and strengthen the 13 post-revolutionary states by giving governing powers to their congress.
Ongoing, bi-monthly, Tuesday, civics sessions will continue the examination of constitutional history and the implications of its amendments. The first session convenes Tuesday, March 21 at 4:00: in person, (and possibly online) in the Fellowship hall at First Universalist Church, 112 Main St., Derby Line;—for more information or to receive session links, please send your contact info to: 1uuderbyline@gmail.com or on the answering machine at: 802-873-3563.
The moderator of these free-to-the-public sessions is Derby Line's Frank Davis—retired educator who has taught civics and history at all levels, from Kindergarten to College—from North Country High School to Northern State Correctional and CCV. Subsequent sessions are planned for Tuesdays at 4:00:3/21, 4/4, 4/18, 5/2, 5/16, subject to input from the participants.
