Local congregations will worship together on Good Friday in a shared service at 7 p.m. on April 7 at Franklin United Church, located at 5414 Main Street in Franklin.

The service will feature Holy Week hymns and responsive readings from scripture led by pastors of the participating congregations. The Rev. Donavee Copenhaver of the Enosburg and Richford United Methodist Churches will offer the homily. The Rev. Jason McConnell is the host pastor.

The public is welcome to this observance on the most solemn day in Holy Week, which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus outside the walls of Jerusalem.

While not all congregations are able to participate in this particular occasion, the collaboration of the Pastors Fellowship includes Abundant Life Fellowship in Enosburg; First Baptist Church in Richford; Enosburg and Richford United Methodist Churches; Franklin and East Franklin United Churches; Lighthouse Assembly of God in Richford; Montgomery United Methodist Church; St. John's, All Saints' and St. Isadore's Roman Catholic Churches in Enosburg, Richford and Montgomery; and St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Enosburg.
