GFL Book Club - Now In-Person as Well as on Zoom

Past event
Mar 30, 2023, 7 to 8:30 PM

The Library book club will begin meeting in person this month at the library, but I'll also continue the Zoom option for those who want to participate from home. We'll meet next Thursday, March 30, at 7:00. We'll be discussing William Kent Krueger's novel This Tender Land, a travel story set in the Midwest during the Depression. "Over the course of one unforgettable summer, four orphan vagabonds journey into the unknown, crossing paths with others who are adrift, from struggling farmers and traveling faith healers to displaced families and lost souls of all kinds. With the feel of a modern classic, This Tender Land is an en-thralling, bighearted epic that shows how the magnificent American landscape connects us all, haunts our dreams, and makes us whole." (Goodreads.com) The book was voted by Goodreads readers as the best historical fiction novel of 2019. We have copies of the novel here for loan. Everyone is welcome to join our discussion.
