Hi everyone,
Just wanted to update you that we are hoping the get the first spray in tonight as planned. The plane just took off from Virginia and should arrive in Rutland around 4 or so. The forecast isn’t great, but the last information we had was that there’s a good chance the rain will subside in the area by 8 or 9 tonight. The application should take about 1 ½ hours so we hope to get it in sometime tonight. If it takes a while for the rain to clear, the application may go past 11:00 PM.
We decided to push to get this done tonight because there’s a cold front coming in that will make the following nights too cold for pesticide application.
I’ll let you know by email if anything changes for tonight. You can also follow the action on twitter at @healthvermont.gov (I don’t tweet so I’m sorry but I can’t tell you how to do this).
Tomorrow is Friday and some town offices are closed. If you won’t be checking this email address tomorrow, please let me know how I can reach you if needed or who else in your town I could contact.
Thanks for all of your help getting the word out.
Please let me know if you need anything from me.
