Springtime in Vermont may mean melting snow and the onset of Mud Season, but it also means C.I.D.E.R. chef, Kelly Robinson and her team of volunteers will be providing "sit down", hot, tasty and nutritious homestyle meals to residents of Grand Isle County and their guests at Reader Hall at the Congregational Church of South Hero at 24 South Street on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month starting April 12th at noon.
The site has a handicapped access entrance. This program is designed to be supplemental and social.
Meals are low salt or no salt and low sugar or no sugar. Baked Ham and Scalloped potatoes a long with additional vegetables, fruit and dessert will be served on April 12th and the April 26th meal will be Pot Roast with potatoes, carrots, bread, fruit and dessert.
RSVPs are required. Please call C.I.D.E.R. at 802-372-6425 no later than the prior Friday. Attendance is currently limited to 60 guests. Requested donation is $5.00 per meal.
Wheelchair-accessible transportation is available, county-wide, and must be reserved in advance by calling 802-372-6425. Transportation cost is by donation only.
C.I.D.E.R. - Champlain Islanders Developing Essential Resources - is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is the develop and foster resources that enable the senior and/or disables Grand Islanders to remain in their community with dignity.
