Hello West River Valley Community!

Are you new to gardening or have some experience but want to learn a little more about gardening? Then join me, Toni Kessler, the Vocational Educator and Farm Manager at Kindle Farm School in Townshend, VT on Saturday, April 8th and Saturday, May 13th from 10am-12pm for a fun and hands on class. We will meet in the greenhouse to explore many topics like seeding, transplanting and soil. But best of all, you will take home plants for your own garden!

You can sign up for one or both classes by emailing me at akessler@kindlefarm.org. Space is limited so it will be first come first serve basis.

Each class is $75 or sign up for both classes for $125. Cash or check only.

What will I learn:
April 8th: planning your garden, soil testing, how to grow in a greenhouse/high tunnel, and what seeds to start for spring

May 13th: garden bed preparation (tools and practice), transplanting, compost and soil amendments, and what seeds to start for summer

This is a fundraiser for Kindle Farm School Vocational Programming, which provides our students opportunities to gain employment skills in a variety of careers including farming, forestry, and culinary. It also provides a CSA bag full of fresh produce from our gardens each week over the summer and fall months.

The mission of Kindle Farm is to provide a physically and emotionally safe school environment using a combination of diverse activities, and strong supervision and guidance so students can discard old patterns and habits, and discover and practice new ways to communicate, problem-solve, and learn more effectively.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to learning and growing with you!
