COME TO A RALLY & MARCH THIS TUESDAY 3-21-23 AND SEND A LOUD MESSAGE TO THE BIG BANKS THAT ARE FUNDING THE CLIMATE CRISIS TO CUT IT OUT!
I have been working to mitigate climate change for 50 years, experiencing the 1972-73 oil embargo, Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth," Hurricane Katrina and now so many more "unnatural" environmental disasters wreaking havoc around the world. The more I learn, the more terrified I become about how climate change is and will affect all life on the planet in ways we are finally beginning to understand and accept. I have to hope that it's not too late to do something about it before the Earth cannot sustain life. We are at a point now where we have no more time to ignore this and must do everything we can to stop and reverse global warming.
Now I'm engaged with Third Act, a community of people over 60 who are determined to change the world, using our life experience, skills, and resources to build a better tomorrow. Members of Third Act Vermont (https://thirdactvt.org/) are gathering this Tuesday 3-21-23 at 3:30 to take action about the climate crisis for ourselves, our children's and our grandchildren's behalf. We need to end the big banks' climate-destroying funding of fossil fuels. We'll meet in front of the Chase Bank, march down Church Street and back, and then gather in front of the Chase Bank for songs, speeches, skits, and a credit card-cutting ceremony. Please join us, for the sake of yourself, your children and your grandchildren.
