The Town and Village of Cambridge are updating our community’s Flood Hazard bylaws. Up-to-date bylaws ensure that Cambridge property owners can obtain flood hazard insurance and that Federal financial assistance can be obtained to mitigate impacts in the event of severe flooding events.
The Cambridge Planning Commission is seeking initial input on update options from our residents.
We cordially invite you to attend one of the two meetings below. If you are unable to attend these meetings, but would like to provide input, please do not hesitate to contact the Planning Commission directly (Contact info provided below).
Wednesday July 16th, 2014, 6:30 pm
Monday July 21st, 2014, 6:30 pm
Both meetings will be held at the Cambridge Elementary School gymnasium.
To obtain a copy of the current Flood Hazard bylaws, you can stop by the Cambridge Town Offices (located above the Jeffersonville Post Office) between 8am and 4pm on weekdays, or go online to the Lamoille County Regional Planning Commission website. Under “links to local information” on the right-hand side, select Cambridge and you’ll see several links to “Flood Hazard”.
