Last week's piano workshop at the Montpelier Sr Activity Center (58 Barre St) attracted enough pianists, singers, and "just listeners" to continue this as a weekly event. Next meeting: July 16th, 1 - 4 PM. Participants can come and go or stay for the entire time. Refreshments are served, it's free of charge, the place is air conditioned, and all ages are welcome.

Last week an actor / singer duo ran through some Gershwin repertoire. A pianist played Scott Joplin and started learning jazz chord symbols. I plan to play selections from Jerry Herrman's Broadway show Mame this coming Wednesday. So beginners to advanced as well as music lovers who don't perform: come one, come all. We'll jam.
