Looking to satisfy your sweet tooth? The Newbury Historical Society invites you to celebrate our heritage of maple sugaring at an Open House on March 25th, between 1 & 3pm.
Dustin Putnam will open his sugarhouse at the junction of Newbury Center, Crusher Hill and Corey Hill Roads. He'll demonstrate how he processes maple sap and share samples of the end result. Valerie and Aroline Putnam will talk about the history of sugaring in Newbury.
You can park at Dustin's home at 74 Corey Hill Road. Those needing ADA accessibility may park at the sugarhouse.
We will serve sips of maple syrup and raised doughnuts. There will be maple syrup available for purchase.
