Sally Rogers Concert
Roots and Wings at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley presents
Sally Rogers/ Dave Richardson Concert
Saturday, March 18, 7:00 PM
Sally has been a mainstay on the folk circuit since 1979, bringing her clear voice to a wide variety of folk music, including her own compositions Lovely Agnes, Circle of the Sun and Love Will Guide Us. Early in her career, she caught the ear of Garrison Keillor, who brought her onto the stage at Prairie Home Companion more than a dozen times. During the pandemic, she embarked on a project to record a new song every weekday. The catalog – over 250 songs – can be found on her YouTube channel. We had her scheduled to appear in 2020, and it's a pleasure to finally honor that commitment and welcome Sally to our stage.
Opening for Sally will be Windsor's own Dave Richardson, of whose music Americana UK says: "A drift of New England based contemporary (yet traditional) folk…traditional, quiet and understated, though not without optimism and joy." Dave's 2018 album Carry Me Along reached #23 on the Folk DJ chart.
