Hello neighbors! I volunteer with Lyric Theatre Company creating props with a committee of wonderful people. In a few weeks we're putting on a production of Shrek the Musical at the Flynn (April 13-16). If you love the movie, you'll love the show! If you've never seen the movie, you'll still love the show! And if you've never been to a Lyric show, you're missing out - these are professional-quality productions that are entirely put on by volunteers, it's pretty amazing.

An ogre, a donkey and a princess walk into a dragon's lair … see how the story goes at Lyric Theatre Company's "Shrek The Musical", presented April 13-16 at the Flynn Center MainStage in Burlington, VT. Lyric's cast and crew have been busy rehearsing and building, painting and decorating sets, making costumes and learning choreography. There's something for the whole family in this one-of-a-kind, hilarious fairytale in which curses are reversed, monsters are the heroes, and princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes.

Based on the 2001 animated DreamWorks comedy, this family-friendly musical is about two hours long plus one intermission. There will be an ASL translator for the evening show on Saturday, April 15th and the matinee on Sunday, April 16th will be audio described for the visually impaired.

Six shows still have tickets available, and they're selling fast: Thursday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 16, 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Matinees are selling quickly, and are recommended for families with small children - or anyone who doesn't want to turn into a pumpkin after dark!
