This year's VERMONT READS book selection, "The Most Costly Journey", features the stories of 19 migrant farm workers in Vermont as illustrated by New England cartoonists. It was created by the El Viaje Más Caro Project.
The Baldwin Library and Blue Mountain Grange will host a discussion of this book on Tuesday, March 28 at 7:00 pm at the Grange Hall in Ryegate Corner. We'll be joined by local dairy farmer Paul Knox and one of his employees for a conversation on agriculture, migration, and how migrant workers are crucial to Vermont's food production.
