Ribbon Bow Making with Dawn Petrovsky
Get hands on practice making bows that can be used for wreaths and other decorations.
Japanese Stab Binding Book Making with Jessie Casella
We will look at some examples of this binding method and then assemble a small book using Japanese Stab Binding.
Making Mandu (Korean dumplings) with Insuk Durham
Insuk grew up in South Korea and often makes Korean dumplings, called mandu, for her family. In this interactive demonstration, participants will learn how to make dumpling wraps and filling from scratch, and form the traditional dumpling shape. Insuk will also show different ways of
cooking dumplings, and participants will come away with a recipe to adapt at home.
Having Fun Creating Community Theater with Laura Lawson-Tucker and Don Mclean
Guilford Center Stage founders Laura Lawson Tucker and Don McLean will present a short workshop on two different approaches to
creating theater: working without a script (improv) and working from a set script.

Reflections on Photography with Chris Beebe
With over 5 billion photos taken daily worldwide, photography has become a fundamental artistic medium to many. This session will provide context to reflect on what photography means in our own lives, basic camera mechanics, a brief overview of notable photographers, and local
photography resources. As time allows, we will also open the session up to discuss photographic avenues attendees may be interested in exploring themselves, or to answer any questions folks may have about their own photography equipment.
Simple Bookmaking from the Recycling Bin with Amber Paris
Learn how to make a simple but effective book using items from the recycling bin. Art supplies will be provided to decorate your cover and create content for your book too! It is OK for younger kids to attend this activity without a caregiver.
Tai Chi with Leah Gessner
Tai chi is an exercise system combining disciplined, graceful movements with an invigorating sense of the body and surrounding space. In this workshop we will perform qigong exercises to get our chi (internal energy) flowing, as well as hand massage techniques to promote organ
health. Qigong is a system of coordinated slow flowing body-postures and movements practiced in a calm meditative state of mind. Although the movements are slow, they contain great power.

Darn It! (In memory of Mimi Morton) with Nancy Detra
We will learn to darn or perfect and be creative with our mending skills, and get to know each other. Needles and yarn will be supplied, but bring your own holey socks or sweaters, and yarn if you want a good match. Or you can just get creative!!
Kitchen Experiments with Claudia Armstrong & Anna Klein
Have fun with oozy oobleck, make some tasty treats to share at the potluck & create decorations for the tables. It is OK for younger kids to attend this activity without a caregiver.
