We hope you've been looking around your house for an item to bring to our Artifact Roadshow! Have you ever found an artifact in your garden and wondered how old it is? Do you have objects that date to the early history of Castleton?
Bring them to the Castleton Free Library on Thursday, March 16th from 6:00 – 8:00. Castleton archaeologists Matthew and Ellen Moriarty and their Castleton University students will be here to identify your artifacts and determine their age and function. Information from the roadshow will become part of a local project documenting the history of Castleton and surrounding areas. Time permitting, they will also take photos and create 3D models of the artifacts.
We are looking forward to seeing all the treasures that have been found in the Castleton area!
