Third Act's National Day of Action Against "Bad Banks" Third Act is the brain-child of our own Bill McKibben who looked at all the gray-haired ones who worked so hard over the decades to try and reverse the death-dealing happening to our fragile globe and to all the life forms on this planet. Here is information for Third Act's big action slated for 3.21.23. As a resident of Windsor and planet earth I encourage you to consider this vital action.
The climate crisis is exacerbated by the massive funding of the fossil fuel industry by "bad banks". The four largest offenders are Chase, Citibank, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. Please join us in our campaign to end this climate-destroying funding of fossil fuels.
Tuesday, March 21, 3:30 – 5:00 pm, Chase Bank, Top of Church Street Marketplace (1 Church St), Burlington Bring your signs (there are lots of ideas at thirdact.org). We will have some signs to use if you don't have your own. We will march down Church Street and back, then gather in front of Chase Bank for introductory speeches, skits, a credit card cutting ceremony, and music.
Also, if you can bring an 8 1/2 x 11 picture of your young children or grandchildren, we will help you affix them to a sign.
Many of us have signed the Third Act pledge to close our accounts and cancel our credits cards at the "bad banks" unless they change their destructive practices.
