More than 1 in every 5 of us is neurodivergent—meaning that individual brains have developed and function differently for many people. We experience things in ways that others do not. Neurodivergent people are all around us in our communities.
During March 13-19, International Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we are encouraged to celebrate these differences. The NEK's Neurodivergent Professionals Working Group (NPWG) and Vermont Learning-Support Initiative (VLSI) will co-host a dinner and conversation for those who are neurodivergent, consider themselves allies and those who are open to learning more about neurodiversity!
Food and beverages provided (including gluten-free and vegan options) though you are encouraged to bring your own food to share or to eat if you'd rather. Families and individuals alike are welcome!
RSVPs appreciated but not required – Please RSVP here: https://www.eventcreate.com/e/nekneurodiversitycelebration
Please reach out to VLSI's Brad Smith (bsmith@vermontlearningsupoort.org) with questions/concerns/accessibility requests. We would like this event to be as accessible as possible for all. We look forward to celebrating with you!
