If you like women, outdoor activities, and the movies, you should come to the Women's Adventure Film Tour at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 at the Playhouse Movie Theatre in Randolph. Tickets are $5 and your movie ticket gets you a chance to win great raffle prizes.

The Women's Adventure Film Tour is a celebration of the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. Every year, a selection of unique films is carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world. Film selection might vary between countries, but this year's short films include selections that tell the story of Lucy Small, a woman fighting misogyny in competitive surfing in Australia to one of the most prolific athletes in climbing history, Beth Rodden, to Liz Sampey, an international biking phenom who was the fastest woman to complete the Arizona Trail Race: 750 miles in 9 days and 11 hours. 

The event is sponsored by Vermont Tech Student Activities, Playhouse Movie Theater, Ridgeline Outdoor Collective, The Gear House, Motio Recreation, and Vermont Glove.
