Come and meet Eddie!
Meet Dog Lover Book Author Eddie Justice

Eddie Justice is about 8 years old. He met his mama December 1st of 2012 and has not been hungry, cold, or sad since that day. He lives in Morrisville, Vermont on 12 acres in a log cabin, where he is free to run around wherever he wants and meets new friends all the time. He also goes on walks every day with different human and animal friends and is incredibly excited about that. He and his mama decided that all the proceeds of the book will go to animal rescue so many other dogs will be as lucky as he is! And last, but not least, he prefers convertibles to closed cars, at least in the summer! Eddie's Tails is a story about the one eyed pit-bull and his mama on their touching journey and the real life stories of other dogs like him that got rescued by kind angels like you. Eddie's Tails is sure to be a hit with the kids and all proceeds will go to animal rescue. Say Hi to Eddie and receive a balloon, too!

We know you will enjoy the tales of wonderful dogs finding love and their forever home and be deeply moved by them. A book for all generations of animal lovers.

Also joining us: William (Bill) McKone, local author and historian.
Vermont's Irish Rebel: Captain John Lonergan : This handsome book of thoroughly-researched history contains numerous illustrations, including maps that will orient the reader to each area of action. Almost 600 pages weave a tapestry of Irish, American, and Canadian historical events centering on the struggle for Irish independence, all carefully sourced and indexed. Bill always has a wonderful story of humorous antidote to share. Be sure to catch-up him.

Mark Laxer, author of The Monkey Bible will be on hand to sign books and engage you in conversations from around the world: A Modern Allegory is a 2010 novel written by author Mark Laxer. The Monkey Bible tells the story of character Emmanuel, a deeply religious man who discovers he may not be completely human. The novel opens discussions on creationism vs evolution, genetic make-up, religion, biology, anthropology, and wildlife conservation. The science behind Laxer’s work of fiction is intended to be accurate and current.

Ultimately, the novel explores the scientific and mythological line which separates humans from non-human animals and science from religion. It explores the need in humans for creation myths and for storytelling, as well as what it means to be human and an exploration of our hierarchical social structures. It is a plea to slightly alter the stories by which humans define themselves in order to protect life and the human species from extinction.
