Neighbors in Action's mission is not only to provide food for those in need, but also to provide socially enriching programming around food and well-being. To achieve this goal, Neighbors in Action has begun Community Saturdays! We seek to create a space filled with opportunities for all!
9am-10:30am: Grow What You Eat! Farmer Ama of Nama Farm in Cabot will be hosting a Seed Swap event on March 18th, and, on March 25th, Farmer Ama will be back with a Tomato Celebration! Bring your questions and leave ready to grow your own food!
10am-11am: Cabot Harvest Hub. Purchase items online Monday – Thursday to support local farmers and artisans and also purchase some items in person at the Hub pickup from 10am-11am! If you haven't seen what your talented neighbors are doing, check it out at www.CabotHarvestHub.org.
10am-11am: Community Walking Group. Meet in the Neighbors in Action parking lot and embark on a walk through town, or carpool to other locations around Cabot. This is a wonderful way to get outdoors, enjoy some moderate exercise, and spend time with friends, new and old alike!
11:15am-12pm: Free Yoga Class. Led by local nurse, and Cabot resident Molly Jones, participants enjoy a welcoming space and a class designed to meet their individual needs and abilities.
1pm-3pm: Makers Space. This program for crafters of all ages offers not only a warm, comfortable space for you to bring your own crafts to work on (knitting, paper crafting, crocheting, etc.) but you can also get one-on-one support from Christina Markwell of Two Hearts 1 Love as she leads you through your own sewing project.
4:30pm-6:30pm: Community Dinner. March 18th stop by for a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixin's! Take-out only. Call ahead at 563-3322 to reserve yours!
