Learn how to graft your very own apple tree with Brian Prendergast, nurseryman at Story Road Nursery and long-time apple tree enthusiast. We will start by learning the techniques of bench grafting in the workshop using rootstock and collected scions from the orchard. After our work is done inside, we will survey the grafting done on existing wild trees and learn the techniques of top-working a tree that is established.
• Rootstock and scions will be made available.
• Participants are encouraged to bring their own grafting knife.
• Each participant will take home a new tree to plant.
