Free Blood Pressure Screening, Wednesday, March 8th, 9:30-10:30 am SASH Wellness Nurse Diane Lassen will be here to check your blood pressure and make any necessary referrals. This is a quick and easy health check!
Free Recycling and Composting Workshop, Thursday, March 16th, 2:00-3:00 pm Kat Moody from Chittenden Solid Waste District will help us learn about the rules of recycling! You will gain insight into what belongs in your blue bin and what actually makes an item recyclable. The workshop will also address the disposal of items that are frequent points of confusion like bottle caps, pizza boxes, compostable food ware items, black plastic, and more. By the end of the workshop, you will walk away with more knowledge and understanding of recycling, composting, and sustainability!
Free Tax Preparation by AARP volunteers: We have just a few appointments remaining, on April 7th. Please call (802) 863-3982 to schedule a time.
The Heineberg Community Senior Center is located at 14 Heineberg Road, in Burlington's New North End. We are an independent non-profit organization, serving seniors from Burlington and surrounding towns. We offer a wide range of free programming, including Bone Builders, Peer Support Group, Tai Chi, Yoga, Mahjong, Bridge, Bingo, Line Dancing, and more! A hot, sit-down lunch is offered on Mondays at noon, $5 donation requested.
