Martha Leb Molnar - a writer and commentator with a focus on the natural world - will present a slide show on the importance of meadows to birds and insects, especially to ground-nesting birds such as bobolinks, while also presenting the challenges in maintaining a large meadow in Vermont. Her latest book, Playing God in the Meadow: How I Learned to Admire My Weeds (Univ. of Mass. Press) is selling briskly all over the country. She is looking forward to a lively discussion with birders, gardeners and anyone interested in the natural world around us.
Presented by Rutland County Audubon. 7 pm at Grace Congregational Church, 8 Court St. in Rutland. All are welcome!
