Town Meeting Day is March 7. The meeting will be held at Brewster-Pierce School, beginning at 9 am. Note that all items on the warning, which will be posted on Saturday, February 4, will be voted at the in-person meeting except for the three ballots, which are spelled out in the below paragraph. This means that, at the meeting, there is an opportunity to amend/change as well as discuss the articles. It is real Town Meeting and not an informational meeting.
The only time-specific highlights, relatively speaking, are the Olga Hallock Award around 9:30 am, and lunch at noon, if the meeting goes this long or beyond and has to recess. The meeting will continue as long as there is discussion.
The Town Report you received in the mail two weeks ago has all the information - articles as warned and a copy of the three ballots to be voted.
Three ballots this year: candidates for office; Land Use Regulations question - yes / no vote; MMUU budget.
Huntington's polls will be open the usual schedule: 6:30 am to 7 pm, at Brewster-Pierce School. Absentee ballots must be returned before 7 pm on March 7 in order to be counted – on Tuesday, bring voted ballots to the school, as the office is closed.
And, you can also register your dog when you come to the polls on Tuesday.
Please vote and please come to the meeting. Masks are optional.
Book Report: The Town Report books have been delivered. Some will be available for pick up on March 7 at the school. Otherwise, stop by the office during open hours and pick up one.
