Sarah Martin is a Senior at Sterling College. For her senior year research project, she is designing three sequential place-based hands-on lessons about the winter ecology of the Northeast Kingdom. The first one, On the Snow, will be occurring Thursday, March 9th. We will meet in front of the Sterling college main building at 2:45 PM. This lesson is about how animals prepare and stay active during the winter. There will also be an aspect of tracking if the snow permits! This is open to anyone in the community of any age (children are encouraged!). Some things to know: this will be taking place outside so please come dressed appropriately. Also, this will be Sarah's first real go at teaching her own curriculum, so please be patient and bring an open mind! All supplies will be available and this event is free!
