Join the Town of Orange Recreation Committee on our first ever snowshoe hike in the Orange Town Forest. We will meet at the town clerk's office on Saturday, March 25th at 10 am, and carpool up to the Beard Road Gate.
We will hike in on Beard Rd to the newly created Spring Trail, and take the Spring Trail back down to Beard Rd, in a loop that's just under 2 miles long. The Beard Road portion of the hike is an easy gentle grade up to the Spring Trail, following the VAST trail. Footing is easy with no obstacles. The Spring Trail is a hiking trail. The grade, while not steep, does climb around the side of Hannah Hill, but does not summit the hill. After the hike, join us for hot cider and cookies at the town hall.
