Norwich University is pleased to announce our Global Writers Series for the spring 2023.

Our first guest will be poet Donika Kelly on Thursday, March 16th, at 5pm in the Kreitzberg Library's Multipurpose Room. Dr. Kelly is a professor at the University of Iowa and the winner of the 2015 Cave Canem Poetry Prize, the 2017 Hurston/Wright Award for poetry, and the 2018 Kate Tufts Discovery Award. Kelly's poetry has been a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Publishing Triangle Awards, the Lambda Literary Awards, and longlisted for the National Book Award. She is the author of two collections of poetry Bestiary and The Renunciations, which was described by Oprah.com as "a lionhearted odyssey through the self, a casting aside of old mythologies and traumas in search of new stories fashioned from love and joy". Cosponsored by Norwich's Title IX Office.

Our second guest will be horror writer John Langan on Monday, April 3, at 4pm in Kreitzberg Library's Multipurpose Room. See future posts for details.

The Global Writers Series is made possible by support from Norwich's College of Liberal Arts and Department of Global Humanities.

Each reading will be followed by a discussion with the authors. Both events are free and open to the public. Community members may park on campus after 5pm, except in designated student lots.
