Adams Camp Hike or Bike

Past event
Jul 19, 2014, 9 to 11 AM

Join Stowe Land Trust for a naturalist hike or guided bike ride at the conserved Adams Camp property in the Ranch Valley (aka the “birthplace of skiing” in Stowe).

Kimmer’s Trail has been touted as one of the best mountain bike trails in the east. Come and see for yourself! Join SLT and the Stowe Mountain Bike Club for a guided group ride: starting from the Adams Camp Bridge, we’ll ride the popular Hardy Haul -> Kimmer’s loop. Stick around for a cool beverage and a dip in the Ranch Brook, or head out for another quick loop.

Hikers and budding naturalists can join SLT board member (and Naturalist extraordinaire) Jan Axtell for a tour and a look into the fascinating ecology and natural history of the area.

Bring your own equipment and be prepared for an intermediate 2-hour mountain bike ride or hike. Meet at the Adams Camp Bridge parking area at the end of Ranch Brook Road.

For more information and to RSVP, give SLT a call at (802) 253-7221 or send an email to info@stowelandtrust.org
