On town meeting day, we'll be voting on the budget that funds our schools. The Montpelier Roxbury Schools board of directors unanimously recommends this year's budget because it:
* provides a raise for our hard-working teachers and staff
* funds new staff positions dedicated to providing extra support to students who need it
* invests in long-term infrastructure improvements such as replacing windows at MSMS and UES, and creating dedicated spaces for students who need extra support to learn well
* has a minimal impact on taxes - a 1.37% increase in Montpelier and a 9.59% decrease in Roxbury

This Thursday, Feb 23, I'll be at Kellogg-Hubbard library in the East Montpelier room, available to answer the questions you have about our schools, the budget, and how the district is working toward academic achievements for every one of our learners. Please join me!
